  17. The first professional quality sample library for the Atari line, that
  18. allows even complete beginners to use digital sound effects in their
  19. own PURE-C or Assembler programs.
  20. Samples are played "in the background". Your main program will NOT freeze
  21. while playing samples. NAUDIO performs close to optimal on all output
  22. devices, for the given task, which is playing samples using interrupts
  23. or DMA.

  25. NAUDIO also provides functions for loading and saving samples, compressed
  26. and uncompressed as well as loading and playing ProTracker Modules.
  27. On all output devices at least four samples can be played at the same
  28. time.

  30. NAUDIO gives you a variety of output devices to choose from. Due to
  31. the layered architecture of the library, it is possible to write portable
  32. digital sound code for Falcons, STEs and STs, w/o having to use the least
  33. common denominator (i.e. PSG) as the output device.
